ATworkshops was established as a means to provide continuing education opportunities to professionals interested in the fields of assistive technology, special needs materials, and literacy development/support of struggling readers and writers.  ATworkshops serve all interested in assistive technology including professionals in the fields of speech/language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, special educators, learning disabilities, rehabilitation engineering, and others.

Kenneth P. Whitley, MA, CCC-Sp., President of ATworkshops, is a licensed speech and language pathologist with over 33 years of experience in assistive technology and special needs.  He has clinical experience serving both children and adults in public school and residential settings.  Ken  has made over 275 presentations during his career and is the primary speaker at our workshops.

Karen Whitley, MS-Ed., Vice-President of ATworkshops, is an educator with over 17 years teaching experience at the elementary level.

The Whitleys are well-known as the founders and operating officers of Key Technologies, Inc. (established in 1986), one of the top independent vendors in the United States of quality products in assistive technology and special needs materials.
